Protect 1 metre of limestone habitat
This gift buys 1 metre squared of unprotected limestone in the Kien Luong Karst Hills Nature Reserve in Vietnam, to save this irreplaceable biodiversity and rare snail species. These limestones contain some of the highest endemic species on Earth, with immense global conservation value for invertebrates found nowhere else on the planet, such as snails, scorpions and millipedes.
This includes the Critically Endangered Snail known as Cyclophorus sp nov (Land Snail). The main challenge faced by the limestone hills involves huge and extensive mining which is causing the large extinction of a number of unique species. Resource extraction and uncontrolled mining result in outright habitat destruction. Let's protect this biodiversity "ark" for future generations to come.
